Forest Graffiti

Forest Graffiti aims to bring awareness to Bulgaria's forests through street art, in the hopes that bringing the forests' issues to urban centers would start a conversation. The project was realized in collaboration with Dzhoana Dahabre and Visionary Foundation.

The mural space is located in Burgas' most popular picnic park, where, visitors often don't pick up their trash. We created a forest scene featuring beloved forest critters, the focal point being a Red-headed woodpecker feeding her young  a cigarette butt.

Sofia is Bulgaria's capital and most populated urban area. It's nested under Vitosha mountain, where forest fires have become an annual occurrence.

Pernik is a mountain town surrounded by forests. Unfortunately, increased logging has caused massive deforestation. We painted and abstract scene where a red line (the heartbeat of the forest) is disrupted and destroyed by a chainsaw.
