DAEMON HAUS

Socrates was well know for following his daemon. So much so, that he went along with his death sentence because his daemon didn't oppose it. Socrates imagines this daemon as your inner voice that guides your actions; nowadays, we tend to call that our conscience.

Later on, Carl Jung focused a lot of his work on exploring the inner archetypes. The way I conceptualize them is like tenants living inside a person's mind: talking, wanting, and influencing one's actions.

I let mine come to the surface through spray painting. In order to have a minimal influence on them, I approach the painting process with zero preparation. I don't plan ahead so that I can catch my consciousness off-guard. I never have a sketch or a predetermined idea that I want to work on. My only goal is for what comes out to be genuine and to only use spray paint in the process.
